Welcome to our website.
We are Frans and Frida de Jong. We live in Zevenbergschenhoek, a small village in the Netherlands. Besides our Cattle Dogs, we have a few other animals, a horse, a pony, sheep's, goats, alpaca's and cats.
We train our dogs nearly daily with other members of a club en Frans has been teaching
obedience since 1990. Besides training and exercising our dogs we also visit dog
shows to show our dogs. For us 2002 was a great year, when our Red Hanky became World
Champion 2002 en Best of Breed, in the World Winner Show in Amsterdam.
We have been
breeding Australian Cattle Dogs since 1996. You can find offspring of our dogs in
the Netherlands, but also in Germany, Denmark, Switzerland, France and Belgium. We
try to find the best of combinations for breeding, in which we not only judge appearance,
but emphasize good character and health. We have all our dogs tested for BEAR, HD
and PRA. In 2002 we had our breeding dogs tested for PRA through DNA research. You
can see de outcome of these tests in "females" and "males" and see for yourself that
we do very well.
When ever we have puppies we teach them everything there is to know
about living in a family. They grow up in our living room and get acquainted with
every day things as telephone, radio, television and our other dogs that come to
visit.
When the pups are a little older, we take them outside and they get to meet
our other animals. And in that age they also visit the city and a school. When the
puppies are about 7 weeks old they have their chip and they get their first shots
to vaccinate them. After a hearing test, they leave us and go to their new homes.
Before
you decide to have an Australian Cattle Dog, you should learn about this breed. Cattle
dogs are wonderful, strong charactered dogs with great stamina. They are loyal to
their owners and their family, but can sometimes be weary of strangers. And they
are great working dogs.

cattle dogs in general, you can contact us through e-
